Vossenpost – gratis mail-notifier voor je Mac
Vossenpost (in het Engels: Foxifier) zet een vosje in je menubalk dat je mail voor je in de gaten houdt. Komt er iets nieuws binnen, dan keft het vosje en zie je meteen van wie het is. Gratis, zonder reclame en volledig in het Nederlands en het Engels.
Wat is Vossenpost?
Vossenpost is een moderne mail-notifier voor de Mac, geïnspireerd op het klassieke Windows-programma PopTray (2001–2006) en helemaal opnieuw gebouwd door Pim Uijttewaal. Het vosje controleert je mailboxen op de achtergrond, laat nieuwe mail zien in een paneel onder de menubalk en helpt je met regels en een spamfilter om de rommel buiten de deur te houden. Vossenpost is vrije software onder de GNU GPL.

Vossenpost installeren op je Mac
- Download Vossenpost-1.4.pkg hierboven en open het bestand met een dubbelklik.
- Het installatieprogramma start. Klik op Ga door, bij de licentie op Akkoord en daarna op Installeer. Typ het wachtwoord van je Mac.
- Klaar: Vossenpost staat in Programma’s en het vosje start vanzelf, rechtsboven in je menubalk. Had je Vossenpost al? Dan is die bijgewerkt en blijven je accounts en instellingen bewaard.
- Het welkomstscherm helpt je om je taal te kiezen en je eerste mailaccount toe te voegen.
Vossenpost kijkt zelf of er een nieuwe versie is en laat zien wat er veranderd is. Eén klik en je bent weer bij.

What is Foxifier?
Foxifier (called Vossenpost in Dutch) is a modern mail notifier for the Mac, inspired by the classic Windows program PopTray (2001–2006) and completely rebuilt by Pim Uijttewaal. The fox checks your mailboxes in the background, shows new mail in a panel below the menu bar and helps you keep the clutter out with rules and a spam filter. Installing Foxifier on your Mac
- Download Vossenpost-1.4.pkg above and open the file with a double-click.
- The installer starts. Click Continue, Agree at the license and then Install. Enter your Mac's password.
- Done: the app is in Applications (as Vossenpost.app) and the fox starts by itself, at the top right of your menu bar. Already had it? Then it has been updated and your accounts and settings are kept.
- The welcome screen helps you choose your language (pick English for Foxifier) and add your first mail account.
Foxifier checks for new versions itself and shows you what has changed. One click and you are up to date again.
